Middays and Evenings at WBZ-FM, Boston's Sports Hub

What talent could appear midday and evenings on the Sports Hub. Some names--Tank?, McAdams?, DeOrsi?, a mix of writers?, Dan/Mike/Dave Andelman? Any thoughts?

We really didn't need two new threads on this topic. Afternoons are already taken by Felger.

McAdams [ will stay with EEI], DeOrsi [EEI], a mix of writers [the whole Globe staff available to BZ] Dan/Mike/Dave Andelman [Please!, let them stay on TKK]

The Belichick show(EEI) might be awkward given BZ-FM has Pats rights and BZ-TV has BB's show.

....The Belichick show(EEI) might be awkward given BZ-FM has Pats rights and BZ-TV has BB's show.....

Probably not all that awkward, since on Soldiers Field Road the TV side of the house attitude toward the radio side is strickly 'hooray for me, screw you.' Any perceived awkwardness would be invisible to the casual viewer or listener and, like most of these issues, strictly a radio-board topic of conversation.

.....how long untill patriots fridays and mondays are gone from weei again like b4 when 1510 had them only this time wbzfm hd has them!!.....

The WEEI access to the Pats is a quid pro quo for the Rev coverage, so it won't be going anywhere since Kraft isn't crazy. This is a situation where Kraft needs WEEI as much, if not more, than WEEI needs him.

The Red Sox are the only play-by-play radio rights that mean anything. And everything.

TSB

Not that I'll miss him, but how did Felger just walk without notice? Don't most of these personalities have no-compete clauses? Was he working without a contract? He is MIA on the website.

This better not result in the resurrection of Mustard and Johnson.

If they mean so much why are the 80% of the games are being heard on WRKO, the one-trick pony AM station featuring no night signal outside of 128.

what about the baseball show which he was apart of he was umm the host!!!!! which has a association with eei so it will be interesting if he keeps hosting the show even though he works for a competing station!!!!

He's done with the Baseball Show. There will be a new host this Saturday. Probably Dickerson.

Because it makes obvious strategic sense for Entercom and for the Sox, who like a large number of network stations.

And, if things ever get dicey with the new radio competition, those game become a tactical hammer if Entercom wants to reallocate the game carriage.

Wow! Talk about not knowing what you are talking about! The WRKO transmitter is, itself, outside of 128! The night signal is very good in southern NH and Cape Cod. The sticks were built when the station was still WLAW--licensed to Lawrence. Needless to say, it's a very, very local signal in the Merrimac Valley!

The only part of the market in which the night signal is less than one could hope for is MetroWest.

I've heard Merloni. But maybe Meter' this week as a fill-in with the possibility of Shaunnessy as a regular.

Shaughnessy? He cannot appear on WEEI. Does he even get along w/ Buck and McAdams?

Yup, outside of 128 by a fraction of a mile.

WEEI - if I could get up on my roof I could probably see the 'EEI sticks, but reception is very dicey after sunset. Love being in the null. Just out of the FM's range.
WRKO - just about as bad at night.
