Mike Huckabee Show debuts today at Noon on AM 790 Talk and Business

So right smack dab in the middle of the market day.A business format radio station breaks away for conservative talk.Makes no sense.They need to retool 790 if they are going to do that.

Why should Cumulus bother? 790 only really exists in the Cumulus cluster as a flanker for 630, which is exactly why we see 790 airing mostly "B-List" programming.

The other thing to consider is that Cumulus might be "auditioning" the Mike Huckabee program to see how it plays here. It's no secret that some local talent contract$ will be coming up over at 630. If Huckabee does well, we could see a bit of a shake-up over at "the station of record"....cough....cough....

It was probably crammed down their throat like Imus.I would think Imus should be retiring soon

couple more yrs. If my sources are right (they always are) your
theory has a kink in it.

If your sources are so good, how much of a pay cut did he take? All across the country Cululus talk show hosts are being made to take 40% reductions.

Mrs. Joy although Dan is around a couple of more years does not mean they won't shuffle the hosts around.They seem to be doing it at least once a year now for the past three years.
 
Oh Cheez....you had to say that....spoiled my families day. We all
enjoy his program. Have learned quite a bit from him. We have access to radios 24/7......so no matter when they have him on, we'll be listening. We like Matt too!!!!!!!

That was previous ownership and Cumulus just taking over. If someone goes, we might return to 10-2 and 2-6 shifts as opposed to the 3 hour shifts now
