Mike McVay of Cumulus talks to FMBQ! Note his line that former Citadel PD's " ARE PROBABLY A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY HAVE TO REPORT TO ANYBODY BECAUSE THEY'VE HAD NO ADULT SUPERVISION"! Uh-Oh here they go! Here is part of his comments to FMBQ, below about merging the former Citadel and Cumulus---------------

" I’ve been trying to take an anthropological view of everything to learn the customs and cultures of these two tribes so we can have one big family. Interestingly enough, we are factoring in where the two companies are coming from because we are actually creating a new culture. This is not about Cumulus rolling in and forcing its language down the throats of a citizenry that it had conquered. This is about creating a new culture that’s not Cumulus and not Citadel, but this new company that just happens to be named Cumulus. From that standpoint, I believe the Cumulus programmers probably felt as if a noose had been loosened around their neck a little, and some former Citadel PD’s who are now part of Cumulus, are probably a little disappointed that they have to report to anybody because they’ve had no adult supervision. I just don’t want to read in the trades what our adds are. I think it’s pretty reasonable to say “yes you can talk to record promoters, yes you can report your adds to Atlanta and then we’ll report them to the trades.” It’s not an unreasonable request."
If the thing that’s most upsetting to a PD is that he has to share with me the songs he’s adding, than that PD has problems."
