Mike Reeves morning host on 99.9 WXJB in Brooksville was slammed by Listeners yesterday on Bob Haa's show from 9-12. Caller after caller complained about Reeves being hired, Many stating that they would no longer listen from 6-9.
 
Gee, the guy Reeves displaced put those callers on the air? Shocking.... funny, we'd never heard of Bob Haa until this happened....
 
I enjoyed listening to Mike on WMTX and was disappointed when he left.

I can't imagine why anyone would hate him that much unless there is some agenda behind it.
 
Kinda like the guy who has all his friends call the request line one after another for the same song, thinking the jock would just be amazed how many people were requesting it....
 
And just what exactly was everyone expecting? You know the audience that elects to participate on-air in Hernando. VERY local and VERY conservative, and others perhaps loyal to Haa who'd been there pretty much since leaving WDCF.

Those that have no idea who Reeves is don't care. He's not one of them.

It'll take awhile...wonder if during all those years at the Q did he make any fun of the north bay's more rural communities?
 
Look at it one of two ways 1) The last gasp of a career or 2) a small, countywide FM that has potential to grow, though the money to keep their AM open may hold it back some.
