Well, I never personally bashed Kent & Alan, although I still maintain the station is underperforming.
Mental illness will always have a stigma in our society, (in fact, many don't even believe it is real). Science will refute that with factual information that some in our society have a heredity disposition toward this disease. Yes, when others are severely harmed by this condition then there must be consequences to the accused. Other than insurance losses, in this case this does not appear to be the case, and I think the penalty is correct.
In Mike's case, there seems to be a double standard. He is in "media", so he must be not only guilty, but "nuts" as well. Is he being treated differently because he was in the media? If so, unfair.
So, go ahead and wave to Mike along the Interstate, but realize that God Forbid, there goes you, or me. A little compassion might go along way in this case. Please forgive those who do not have the luck to not suffer from this disease, and forgive those who may not live up to your "normal" standards. Then ask yourself how you can make it better.
