Mistress Carrie signs new 3 year deal at WAAF

97.7/107.3 WAAF ANNOUNCES IT HAS SIGNED MISTRESS CARRIE TO A MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION
WAAF-FM announced today that it has signed on-air personality Mistress Carrie to a new 3-year contract extension. Carrie currently hosts the station’s afternoon drive program and also acts as WAAF’s Music Director.

BRW has the details here: http://www.bostonradiowatch.com/

Interesting that Entercom is re-signing a longtime jock at AAF and hiring new ones for Mike while letting go veterans like Dale Arnold and Pete Sheppard on the AM side. It sends a signal that WEEI won't be moving to any of Entercom's FM signals anytime soon.

Is Entercom going to let WEEI and WRKO simply die on the vine? It sure looks like it. They're cutting back on talent costs at 850. WRKO took a serious blow when they lost Rush, and Howie Carr's deal runs out late next year. You have to wonder if they are investing in their FM's and waiting out the contracts for the Red Sox and other talk talent like Ordway and D&C. It wouldn't shock me if the company is prepping the AM's for an eventual sale a few years down the road once they can get out from under that money-sucking Red Sox rights deal.
