Mix 93! "My music - My mix" You've got to be kidding!

They did it again! Mapleton has dumped 93-7 Mike FM, and become the New Mix 93 after a friggin day of Jingle Bell hell muzak.

Still no DJs after 9am. The music is mostly 90s and todays hits.

They still suck.....and they play songs I've never heard before, and I'll never know what they are because there's nobody on the air anymore. They just don't get it do they?

Yeah but it will start and probably end with no jocks after 9am. They don't have the staff anymore I don't think.

Unfamiliar music will chase people away.

U R correct - they've had some layoffs within the company at Mapleton Broadcasting,
which should be renamed MapleNut Broadcasting ;D, within the last 6 months...

I've heard bits and pieces of the Mix format, and it's not gonna help 93.7's ailing ratings,
which went from a 2.8 to a 1.4 in 12+ last Fall. A waste of a powerful FM signal...

Jackymon, to answer your question, I'd say they don't get it - but keep in mind, MapleNut
just laid off some more people at the "kingpin" K-PIG operation last month, meaning only their
bottom-line matters, not us listeners...

93.7 Mike FM was getting repetitive, anyway, like the Jacks and Bobs and other similarly
named/gimmicked stations elsewhere before them. "Playing...Anything"...yeah, right...

Mix 93 (KTMT-FM) has a solid Hot AC format, and the best signal in the market. They're playing all the familiar hits, including a good selection of currents. However, Mapleton still needs to get a website online with streaming. They should also get hooked up to Yes.com, so we can see everything they're playing.

Mix 93 is playing "Dead and Gone" now. That's an urban song that used to only play on 98.9 and 107.5. Medford radio sure is changing. Once we had one CHR, now we have 2.5. Guess Mapleton had to go after the other owners in the market. Who is that chick on the voicers between the songs? She sounds like a raspy receptionist that might work at the front desk. She sounds a lot like a girl named Shelly Somerset who used to work on Beat 93 awhile back.

Their "mix" is not very good to me. They'll never get the audience they once had about 10 years ago.
