Mix 96.9 in lexington is all santa now ho ho ho

That is the first station i know of to go all christmas in kentucky. I like all christmas music stations but i just wish they played some variety it seems like it is the same 200 songs by 20 artists but thank god for the internet and also wfpk plays interesting christmas music like carol of the bells by the bird and the bee and just in case you wanted to know the bird and the bee is an artist whom is the daughter of the guy from little feat. I know you guys and gals were dying to know that but merry christmas!!!

Actually, 94.5 FM in Lexington (Mix 94.5) was the first station in Kentucky to flip to an all-Christmas music format this year. They flipped right at 4 PM on Thursday, Nov. 12. 96.9 KISS-FM was the 2nd, and they started at 7 PM that same day starting with the Christmas version of the "Delilah" show. I wonder if Frankfort's "Star 1037" will go all-Christmas again this year. Oh, and "106.7 The Fox" in Richmond. They played Christmas music last year too.

Hadn't heard any in LEX had flipped...

I'm more inclined to say this week is the right time for early-goers. October 25 (when one station up this way in Cincy went!) is WAY early...

They keep getting earlier and earlier with these format flips. Will we hear Christmas music in July soon? I just can't get into Christmas when it's 70* and before Thanksgiving. But then again, I gave up on commercial radio doing the right thing years ago.

I'm looking and haven't seen any Louisville flips documented here. Anything readers here can confirm? I will be in Louisville on 12/2.

AC WVEZ-FM (106.9) is usually the only station in Louisville to go all Christmas and they normally don't switch until midnight on Thanksgiving Day. For several years, Christian AC WJIE-FM (88.5) has been airing all Christmas music weekends after Thanksgiving and all day on "Black Friday." In the last four years or so, Urban AC WMJM-FM (101.3) has been playing all Christmas music on "Black Friday" and every Saturday after Thanksgiving until 7pm. That is about it in Louisville. Salem radio use to debut an all Christmas music format near or on Thanksgiving Day on their Christian AC station WRVI-FM (105.9). However, that station was sold over a year ago to WAY-FM Ministries who switched the format to Christian CHR.

Sounds good, thanks!

It sounds like 106.7 The Fox has flipped now - listening to their webstream...can you confirm if what I'm listening to is their actual terrestrial signal? If it is, we have a third one in Lexington/Richmond area now...

I just dont know why both LEX ACs went Christmas,, looks like The Kat will go higher in ratings this period from the normal Mix and Kiss listeners,,, Why does one area need so much Xmas music... I hate to be a scrooge, but cant they at least play the normal playlist and mix in some Christmas,, I wouldnt mind that. At least DJX has never went Christmas.. They usually always had the top 100 countdown of the year on Christmas day.

Louisville is behind the times if you go to cincinnati you can here 4 christmas stations 2 in cincinnati and 2 in lexington.Makes me mad :'(

Hey just thank your radio for not being like Fort Wayne Indiana they already have 3 with their Adult standards going when ever their sat programming flips. their AC WAJI flipped. The Adult CHR/Hot AC WMEE Flipped and their Adult Hits Station WJOE also flipped all last weekend. I Dont think i could handle having 4 stations being all Christmas. at Least Indy will have 1 maybe 2 if WYXB flips to go along with the Former Track

WVEZ in Louisville according to yes.com flipped to all christmas this morning at a weird time of 3am LOL

Confirmed. I was in Louisville on Wednesday (had to push my trip back a bit over a week), but I can confirm via hard listening Wednesday afternoon in the Arby's at 5th and Liberty in Louisville.
