First, I want send my prayers to all who lost loved ones or were dismembered in this devastating event.
Today February 20th marks the 3 rd aniversary to the "Station" nightclub fire.

WHJY is holding an all day (Sunday) radio-thon for the Doc and Station family funds.there are also numorous events comming up.Concerts and auctions.see link for details in WHJY's site www.whjy.com click on Doc or station family fund link.

A memorial service is being held at 2 pm today (Sunday) on the site. I'm sure at least one of the 3 big TV stations if not all will carry the service live.

Not sure if WHJY or WHJJ or all CC stations will carry the memorial service live. I will be working at this time so I won't be able to check.

Although off-topic (as it is a comment on TV coverage), I recall that both WJAR-10 and WPRI-12 provided excellent coverage of the tragedy and it's aftermath. Both stations were on the air nonstop for many hours (with WPRI being on for almost 20 continuous hours). I consider those two stations' coverage to be the "Finest Hour" in Providence broadcasting history.
