Moon Griffon now on New Orleans Northshore radio

I had expected for him to appear on 990am, but surprisingly will come to the 504 via WSLA 1560AM from Slidell which normally produces a sports talk format during it's daytime only operations.

This brings Moon into the New Orleans area from two seperate radio stations now. WSLA from the East and KTIB from the west.

Moon for those outside the area, is a statewide conservative talk show host

Two reasons, one, WSLA recently decided to do news and talk due to Entercom having ESPN now, and second I know Jeff Crouere would not move back to 5am to keep a 4-hour show. Other than our sports block and these new one hour shows in the afternoon, he is WGSO's only live and local personality with a talk show dealing with news and political issues.

Who dragged up the 1-hour afternoon hosts? Many of these people are unlistenable. You can't take people off the street, give them no direction, and throw them on the air. And why are there 5 different hosts? Is this schizophrenic radio? The same with the nightly sports shows. Why isn't the same host on M-F? Where is the continuity?

Hosts need direction. Not everyone can go on the radio and put out a listenable show. Don't believe me, just listen to weekends on WIST. Except for Tim McNally, weekends on WIST are amatuer hour. Even Eric and Kaare doing sports (which they alledgedly know and love) is a terrible show.

Even if the people on WGSO are paying for their time, and I'm not saying they are, this is Afternoon Drive, not a place to try things out.

Back to the topic, I like Moon in small doses. Having him on actually made me add 1560 as a button. I had no idea Laura Ingraham was on.

Their website hasn't been updated in a year and a half.
