More Fuel For Those Who Claim That "Hockey Night In Canada" Is (Toronto Maple) Leafs-Centric
One of the major complaints some Canadian hockey fans have about CBC's long-running "Hockey Night In Canada" during the regular-season is that the show is more like "Hockey Night In Toronto", with Toronto Maple Leafs' games being disproportionally broadcast across the network.
Well, those who think that "HNIC" is too Leaf-centric have a new argument.
The "HNIC" schedule page on the CBC website is listing games to be broadcast in high-definition during the 2005/2006 regular-season (the schedule does not show any HD telecasts prior to November 5th; I don't know if "HNIC" had any HD games during October; if they did, they are no longer listed on that page).
Guess what?? With the exception of the December 17th game between Edmonton and Vancouver, all of "HNIC"'s HD telecasts feature Toronto.
