More low power signals signing on in Birmingham? Sure, why not.

Another month, another handful of low power signals coming on the air in Birmingham and vicinity. Here's what new recently:

W224CN - 92.7 - Leeds - license to cover filed, it's supposed to be relaying WGIB. This brings the number of translators listing Glen Iris' station as the parent up to 5, plus WQEM in Columbiana.

W245CS - 96.9 - Birmingham - license to cover filed for this tight fit that's listed as relaying WXJC. This is the third signal in the greater metro area on this frequency, alongside WLXY-LP in Chelsea and the Bessemer City Schools station west of town. What a mess this frequency must be in the fringes!

Tuscaloosa also has two translator changes worth mentioning as WTSK's translator W227DD on 93.3 signs on, while W223BZ is transferred from Edgewater to the TTI, Inc. TTI runs WJRD, which already has a translator, and the parent on this one is listed as WUAL-HD2.
