Morgan white, jr gets saturday night show on wbz radio

O

Omnibus

Guest
Morgan White, Jr. announced last night as he was filling in for Jordan Rich that he will be starting his own his new "Morgan White, Jr. Show [ no it's not a junior show but the full grown Morgan White, Jr.] next week on WBZ Radio on Saturday night 10-Midnight just before Jordan Rich.

At last. WBZ management is half awake...!

Very pleased about this. I wonder what show will disappear, Kim Komando was in that time slot, and while I don't find her show very entertaining, I'd rather WBZ have Kim Komando than one of the snake oil financial programs they have in the 6pm-10pm slot, particularly the two they have between 8 and 10pm.

This was mentioned in another thread; also Jordan said on facebook he won't be on this weekend so he can help his daughter celebrate her wedding so Morgan fills in (that, and the new show?)

Don't know if it's a trivia show but his Talking Trivia ran on WMRE 1510 , WKOX 1200 etc. He also used to be a guest on overnight shows , like in early 90s with Larry Glick when Glick was on WHDH.

One of his first callers mentioned Jen and both Joe Matthieu and Morgan quickly steered away from any other mention of her.
Joe started talking about "well there are various WBZ hosts out there and we enjoy working with them" or something, when the
caller asked about how he liked to hear Jen etc.

Talking Trivia was a fun show on stations like WKOX. One time when I worked the graveyard shift, Sat night into Sun morning was
my "night off" and I drove to Framingham and had breakfast with them at a place nr the Fram/Natick line called the Fox Trot.
He had his regular callers and a weekly thing called High Five where you had to guess five questions (on his last show they had to do with 'goodbyes'--what Monkees song ends with "bye bye bye bye"; who has waved goodbye at the end of the Beverly Hillbillies). As people gave their guesses he kept saying NEXT... NEXT... and at the end he played a sound clip of a song etc to basically say they hadn't gotten all 5. "You got three of them..."

Caller would offer their guesses and Morgan would ask, "Now, I don't want you calling Norm over at WBZ to see if he knows the
answers..." (Pre-internet...) "Now, I have a question that I'm sure will have people rushing to their Leonard Maltins.."--referring to Maltin's paperback books with movie listings and ratings....

I would have thought the time period might have interfered with Morgan's other gigs but I guess not. I haven't listened to BZ-weekends in years.

BradleyJ seems to be doing well in the M-F am.

Bradlley Jay is strange.
Guess he is on better med though than Jen....

He was strange when he started filling in for Steve several years ago, nothing has changed...

It's sad, really. BZ has slid so far downhill I'm not sure if they could pull themselves out at this point. I'm done with BZ, I have a ton of podcasts to listen to that are much higher quality than the nightly drivel we are now treated with.

Broken Arms at WBZ

They have turned into Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club over at WBZ each patting each other on the back for moral support! I tune in for Jordan only. They have simply lost their spark. Steve must be glad he got out. Getting used to Coast to Coast. Not Steve or Jen, but the times they are changing and true local talk is just gone. Got to change with the times and remember what was fondly. Peace and Joy to one and all!
