One of his first callers mentioned Jen and both Joe Matthieu and Morgan quickly steered away from any other mention of her.
Joe started talking about "well there are various WBZ hosts out there and we enjoy working with them" or something, when the
caller asked about how he liked to hear Jen etc.
Talking Trivia was a fun show on stations like WKOX. One time when I worked the graveyard shift, Sat night into Sun morning was
my "night off" and I drove to Framingham and had breakfast with them at a place nr the Fram/Natick line called the Fox Trot.
He had his regular callers and a weekly thing called High Five where you had to guess five questions (on his last show they had to do with 'goodbyes'--what Monkees song ends with "bye bye bye bye"; who has waved goodbye at the end of the Beverly Hillbillies). As people gave their guesses he kept saying NEXT... NEXT... and at the end he played a sound clip of a song etc to basically say they hadn't gotten all 5. "You got three of them..."
Caller would offer their guesses and Morgan would ask, "Now, I don't want you calling Norm over at WBZ to see if he knows the
answers..." (Pre-internet...) "Now, I have a question that I'm sure will have people rushing to their Leonard Maltins.."--referring to Maltin's paperback books with movie listings and ratings....
