Morning Mess' Shannon Lands Big, Craig Hunt to Mornings in Tampa

The Morning Mess' Shannon Murphy is joining WKQI in Detroit, a highly successful CHR station, as co-host of Mojo in the Morning. The Mess' agent, Norm Schrutt, was quoted about a month ago as saying The Mess was about to sign with a station; I guess than didn't pan out.

Former Star 94 PM driver Craig Hunt has left afternoons at Denver's KYGO (Lincoln Financial Media) to do mornings at WFUS in Tampa, the distant #2 country station to heritage WQYK. He called himself Craig Catfish Hunter at KYGO, and he's using that name in Tampa. As far as I know, Craig is still doing syndicated radio on Dial Global's True Country.

Both Shannon and Craig are loaded with talent. Both WKQI and WFUS are owned by Clear Channel.

well theres been rumours of when the new Indy Adult CHR hires its Morning show it be 2 former Indy Radio Now DJ's Marco of the Said Morning Mess and Nigel who did Afternoons at Radio Now as a new Morning show they already have a facebook fan page.

The comments on this board have always seemed to indicate that Shannon was the only one with real potential on that Morning Mess team. Good for her.

Shannon definitely had the most talent and I wish her well in Detroit.

So where does this leave Marco? Cumulus has a new CHR in Indy and one in Nashville maybe he'll find a home at one of those stations.
