Most Overplayed Christmas Movies/Specials on TV

I wonder what music in this film is not in the public domain? It is mostly Christmas carols like Twinkle Twinkle
Little Star
and Hark, the Herald Angels Sing. Maybe the Charleston they are dancing to over the swimming pool?
Or Buffalo Gals?

Just another example of too many lawyers screwing-up life, in my opinion.

The film's copyright had not been renewed, Republic owned the original film elements, the music score, and the film rights to "The Greatest Gift (which the movie was based on); thus the plaintiffs were able to argue its status as a derivative work of a work still under copyright.

So basically, the film should've never been played as much as it was, but no one bothered to go to court to enforce the copyright claim. When they did this, Republic won.
