Mount Carmel-Shamokin Radio Figure Receives Federal Indictment!

The former Chief Engineer of WMIM/WSPI and owner of an FM at 99.7 (WVRZ) in Mount Carmel has been indicted on federal child pornography charges. Blaine Handerhan faces jail time and fines if convicted. He was a former contract engineer for WMIM in Mout Carmel (now dark) and WSPI licensed to Shamokin. With his mother, he put 99.7 on the air which was sold to Clear Channel in the mid 2000's.

Handerhan is a 30 year veteran of the Mount Carmel police department reaching the rank of Lieutenant and serving as acting chief. There are too many sources for this story for me to leave you a URL. Just do a web search for more information.
