Movin's Awesome "Brooke and Jubal" gets syndicated to Portland's KBFF

Alpha mantra is "Live and Local". Hmmm...

Yesterday I was out eating with my girlfriend and I came across a conversation with some suits within an earshot that 98.9 would be moving toward an FM sports format. I wouldn't even know how true this could be because I caught parts of the conversation.

It would seem careless to talk about something like that in a public setting, but IDK.

Personally, I'd like to see a sports FM in Seattle. IDK, maybe I'm just wishing for the impossible and making this more than what it should be. I hate to be "that" guy. But could this mean that the company is moving chess pieces to make room for something? Maybe the company is selling off this station? Sports FM seems like a cool idea and I like it, but it just seems already saturated with AM sports.

Eh, I'm just speculating.

...but it just seems already saturated with AM sports.

Wasn't all THAT long ago that we thought FM-based news format (when KIRO went to KIRO-FM @ 97.3) would be redundant with a well-established AM product. But time has proven that AM is significantly less desirable real estate any more, so moving anything that is strong as an AM product to FM band is not all that crazy.
