Music Marathon - not x in a row anymore on Oldies 103.3

Noticed out of the break that they are calling the longer stretch between breaks a music marathon. As the songs in the playlist have gotten longer, it's hard to promise any number of songs in a row.

Same thing on K-Earth in L.A. I guess with American Pie in the playlist you need to change your approach.

Could it be that more advertisers are now on board, and they need to fit the spots in the clock?

From a sales and the clock perspective the ten guaranteed thing can get in the way when you have to get ten songs in even though many oldies songs are under three minutes long. Call it antthing else but a "music marathon" though, Jeez is that bad imaging from days gone by (I know, I know, its an oldies station they already have half of Kiss 108's dj scrap heap but still)
