"My 11 Alive News at 10" starts on WATL 9/5

The new newscast for WATL will start when "My Network TV" starts on September 5th, just as I anticipated.

Oddly, it will be named using WXIA's moniker. They are even using the 11 Alive logo with the NBC peacock. (NBC must have given WXIA/WATL permission to do so.)

It will be 30 minutes, with Brenda Wood and Ted Hall as anchors. And it will be in high definition.

I wonder how Fox 5 will react. Unlike the WXIA/WUPA partnership, this will be permanent (since Gannett owns WATL now).
