My Favorite day of the week on WCBSFM

:) BEATLES WED!!! I love Wednesday!! I LOVE The BEATLES!!

"Here, There, and Everywhere" I do not hear much, but on that day it usually gets played. I had all the Beatles albums, and I have many cd's and box sets of them now, this is one group I never get tired of :) Turntable Tues is Awesome too.

I think it's burned out. It was a novelty when they did it on Fridays now and then, but I think they need to mix it up. They should pick four core artists (Beatles, Eagles, etc) and feature one each Wednesday per month. I actually cringe when I hear Beatles Wednesday and I love the Beatles but enough is enough.

I think WCBS-FM plays Beatles songs that are not usually heard on the station. Likewise on Q-104.3's Breakfast with the Beatles on Sunday Morning, you hear many album cuts. I would suggest that CBS-FM play more stuff by the individual Beatles that were recorded in the 70s after the group broke up.

I think it was far worse on CBS' sister station in Tampa, Q105. Not only do they feel the need to play a back-to-back Beatles set virtually every time they play a song from them - not just Wednesdays, mind you, but all week long - but they also have the occasional Beatles theme weekend. Yes, I know, they're one of the most successful artists of all time, blah blah blah...

I don't care, I can listen to Beatles anytime ;) I think they had the Best Music, Elvis too. They should do a Elvis day!! Sirius radio is good for that!!!

Mary, when WCBS-FM plays Elvis these days it is his hits from the late 1960s in the 70s. They will never play his early music. It's all about demographics. When I visited Graceland a few years ago, most of the tourists were not born yet when he died in 1977. His appeal is universal.
