While it might dominate in 0-34, that playlist will lose you a big chunk of the 35+ audience that the station attracts now.

I consider it AC. Maybe rythmic leaning, but still an AC no less. Hot AC is like KAMX Austin, KHMX Houston, and KDMX Dallas. It's mostly 90's and 2000's alternative-leaning pop hits. Goo Goo dolls, Third Eye Blind, Fallout Boy, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. Not Backstreet Boys, Madonna, and Bananarama.

I do understand what your saying but there really isn't much different from KAMX in Austin to Q101.9 or Magic here in SA. For instance, I notice Mix 94.7 in Austin plays a variety of 80's tracks from Prince to the Go Go's. I also notice they don't play Fall Out Boy. So pointing out that Q and Magic play Madonna or Bananrama doesn't really mean much. I will say Q101-9 does seem to have a larger playlist from The Cure, Third Eye Blind, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Goo Goo Dolls to recent artists such as Sara Bareilles, John Mayer, Gnarls Barkley and others. And neither Q101.9 or Magic is Rhythmic leaning.

??? They must've really changed their playlist when they went Q because I used to work for them when they were Soft Rock 101.9 and they played Toni Braxton and Backstreet Boys.

Q101.9 just recently started doing an all 80's weekend. The Q 80's playlist is HUGE. Artists heard- U2, Culture Club, The Fixx, Sly Fox, Def Leppard, Debbie Gibson, Inxs, Van Halen, The Buggles, Milli Vanilli, Toni Basil, The Clash, and many others. I know Magic did this a couple of years ago but like there current playlist, it was limited.
