That was 21 years ago, and Spencers have not been involved in commercial radio for years. I don't even know whether John and Brian are still together.
Brian and John had previously bought the commercial KGHO AM 1490, FM 95.3 in Hoquiam from a religious organization, which they later sold the stations to Morris Broadcasting, which in turn were sold to Alpha Media. 95.3 became KXXK and 1490 became KWOK
Meanwhile, 2001 I think, 920 (maybe it was KQEU "KQ92") was off the air, and they bought it for a song. (I sold them a Harris AM transmitter). In 2003 or 2004, they sold 920 to Alan Gottlieb's Second Amendment Foundation.
Brian and John then established a couple of different entities - Grays Harbor LPFM, which eventually went on air as KGHO-LP, which they own today. They also established Northwest Rock n Roll Preservation Society, which has operated several FM translators, including the one on 92.9 which is originating programming, the point of the original posts.
They still own the building in Hoquiam which was the original AM site for KHOK, which became KGHO. The 99.9 LPFM and the 92.7 FM translator are co-located on the former AM tower. The AM tower is no longer used for the AM station, which was moved to Aberdeen and is diplexed on one of the KXRO towers.
