MythBusters stunt goes awry, sends cannonball into residential neighborhood

I saw the news report from KGO-TV (ABC) channel 7 of San Francisco. Until then, I thought this was something that The Onion News Network would do. :p

The KGO-TV report says that mythbusters did the experiment in Dublin CA, Doesn't Mythbusters have other locations like the Port of Oakland, Mare Island and Mojave desert? If these people knew that the cannon would go out of control why didm't they think about doing it in Mojave after the windstorm is gone.

I don't think they "knew" it would go out of control, or they wouldn't have done it. They've used this range before. The cannonball really tore up some s**t, as the saying does. It's a miracle nobody was hurt.

I was thinking the same thing. Dublin, CA is a pretty heavily populated area compared to the locations
where they typically test these explosive myths.

Now watch Discovery put together a motion picture about this mishap and sign, I don't know, Burt Reynolds to star in it. ;D
 
Looks like the cannonball express, along with all the other stunts, are suspended pending full investigation.
