Name Local TV anchors, reporters and personalities that also do National segment

My examples are Fred Roggin for KNBC he does sports play by play during the olympics, KNBC's Colleen Williams also is listed as the LA bureau Chief for MSNBC and NBC News when they ask her to special assignments. Bill Ritter, Liz Cho and the late Bill Beutel, Joel Siegel of WABC7 does special assignments for ABC News. Sam Champion prior to 2007 was at WABC as a fill-in weather person on Good Morning America for Current KGO-TV Weather person Spencer Christian.
Spencer Christian Prior to KGO was doing weather for WABC and GMA in the beginning years. WCBS-TV and KCBS2 also had some people do national segments for CBS News like Connie Chung of KCBS 2 when it was KNXT2 and Chris Wragge of WCBS2 prior to being on the early show. Former KRON weather person Janice Huff has done dual duties for NBC Today and WNBC. For KABC-TV I have not seen examples of people doing dual duties for ABC. However for KGO I've seen Laura Marquez done some special assignments for both ABC News and KGO-TV. Lisa Stark prior to the 1990's did do special assignments for ABC while working for KGO-TV during the 89 Quake.
 
All of those you mention work for network O&Os. Using local O&O - especially New York, and to a lesser extent, LA - personalities on the networks has always been a common occurrence.
 
Rick Fullbaum of Fox News also does special assignments for WNYW. However on Radio I noticed Gil Gross of KGO-AM San Francisco does hourly updates for ABC News and for CBS Radio News updates the KCBS-AM San Francisco crew would do west coast reports for CBS radio like the Brian Stow beating.
I do know that Scott McGrew and Scott Budman for KNTV in San Jose does Tech Stock Updates nationally for CNBC and CNBC has a branch in the KNTV studios just like NBC News have a branch in the WRC studios. I noticed recently on CBS News during the hurricane Irene saga they borrowed a weather person from WFOR a CBS O&O. and ABC has a weekend weather person on GMA who is doing dual duty and is not from an ABC O&O. She is from Florida.
 
I know Fred Roggin for a half-hour sports bloopers program he used to do. If I'm not mistaken, there were also funny videos like those on "America's Funniest Home Videos".

That would be "Roggin's Heroes", which I think lasted two seasons in syndication in the early '90s.

Matt Lauer is a good example. Back in the 90's, he was the "Today in New York" co-anchor on WNBC as well as the news anchor on Today. For years, the NYC stations have provided permanent and substitute staffing for the national morning news shows.

Other examples:

When ABC used do do 15-minute late Saturday and Sunday newscasts, they'd use local anchors from all of their O&Os (NY, LA, Chicago, SF, & Detroit at the time) on a rotating basis. I remember WLS-TV anchors Fahey Flynn, Joel Daly, and John Drury putting their time in a few times a year back in the '70s.

IIRC, in the '60s, Floyd Kalber anchored one of the NBC weekend newscasts (Saturday?) from Chicago when he was at WNBQ/WMAQ-TV there.

He would also do a five minute mid-afternoon news update on the NBC network every weekday, which aired at about 2:55 PM ET Monday through Friday.
 
Jane Pauley in the 1970's was orginally on WMAQ in Chicago and did special Assignments for NBC before going full time on Today. Bryant Gumbel was the same he did dual duty at KNBC and special assignments for NBC before going to Today show.

...another would be the late Bill Ryan, who was WNBC-TV New York's local anchor when called in to co-anchor (with Frank McGee, both excellently) NBC-TV's coverage of the assassination of President Kennedy...
 
I forgot that Lisa McRee of KABC-TV in LA back in the 1990's also had dual duty as the fill-in GMA host when Joan Lunden had the day off. Also McRee was doing America This Morning on ABC when Aaron Brown was there and when CNN's Anderson Cooper worked at ABC as McRee's Co-Anchor.
 
I assume due to the title of this thread, the OP meant "current" personalities.

KIRO-FM Seattle midday talk personality Dave Ross does a daily commentary for the CBS radio network. You've probably heard him, he sounds very similar to Charles Osgood.

The primary job for Lisa, Aaron and Anderson was co-anchor of ABC's "World News Now" overnight show. The WNN crew has also been doing what used to be "World News This Morning" for years. after doing WNN.

Locally, I've mentioned WJW/8 "Fox 8 News" entertainment reporter David Moss, who also hosts the national show "Hollywood & Dine" from the Fox 8 studios. It was on WGN America (linked with WJW through the Local TV-Tribune connection), and I believe is still on ReelzChannel.

In addition to being the station's long-time entertainment guy, "Mossman" now co-hosts the local service show "Good Day Cleveland". Any cooking segments use the "Hollywood & Dine" kitchen set.

Except Bryant Gumbel made a stop in the sports department & hosting the studio shows for NBC's NFL coverage before moving on to do Today

I forgot Bill Kurtis of A&E he at one time did double duty for WBBM and CBS News in the 1980's and Walter Jacobson did too.
