NBC ANNOUNCES JIMMY FALLON AS THE NEW HOST OF THE TONIGHT SHOW

The National TV board needed a little April Fools spirit! ;)

Don't laugh! That could happen..Jay is really going to want to step down someday.I'd like to see CONAN take over Letterman's spot on Late SHOW.Conan is only guaranteed 2 more years on TBS.

I was punk'd earlier today on another thread....NOT this time, sorry. )

Jimmy Fallon has already stated that he can never host The Tonight Show.

He points to David Letterman. As Letterman, once hosted Late Night, got passed over for the Tonight Show job.
Then Conan O'Brien, hosted Late Night, lost the Tonight Show.
So he knows if anyone has hosted Late Night, do not become host of The Tonight Show.

April Fool, right? I hope I'm wrong, but Jay Leno will probably end up carried off the "Tonight Show" stage by six pallbearers. That is, after one of them pries Jay's nailed feet from the stage.

.02 (and Jay Leno calls my personal cell in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... )

Is Jay up there? How old is he anyway? Older or younger than David Letterman? Surely he's still younger than Regis!??

Letterman turns 65 April 12, and Leno is 62 on April 28. Regis will be 81 on August 25.

How about Regis replacing Leno? Afterall, Regis has a lot of experience on Tonight as he was a page there in the 50's and the announcer in 1962.

Happy belated April Fools.
