NBC has announced that the 9am morning show is Megyn Kelly Today on September 25th

How long until they can announce her "Today" cancellation? [I think she has a 1-year must carry.] Or does she have another "Must-Air" provision, like her Sunday Night show?

By the way, will her live audience be allowed to boo her when her biases show, will they only allow Trump supporters and "the great unwashed" [a term my mom used to refer to the uniformed masses] into the studio, or will they just change to a closed set, all by November sweeps, if she lasts that long?

"Must Air"? Megyn Kelly is not under contract with Sinclair. NBC and their O&O's don't have that policy. Also Megyn Kelly's supposed show isn't Wally George or Morton Downey Jr as you are describing it to be. NBC hasn't announced how the daytime version of her show is going to play out yet. All we have is test runs for now.

I think most, if not all, of the affiliates will carry it initially to see how it does.

She may find a niche in daytime, who knows.

I think her best bet is to stay away from expressing her own political beliefs. NBC is not Fox News, and this is a time when American are more polarized than ever, due to the Trump presidency. She gains nothing, except some personal satisfaction perhaps, by spouting Fox-isms - which will alienate a good percentage of her potential audience. Let's be honest - NBC hired her because she's beautiful, articulate, smart, and already famous - not because she's conservative. And she didn't do herself any favors with her past remarks, like Santa Claus is Caucasian.

I've noticed that some of the best reporters and anchors aren't that obvious in their political beliefs. Chris Wallace, for example. I don't watch Fox News much, but when I have, I've noticed that he is always fair and balanced (in the true sense, not the Fox News slogan sense). Is Wallace a conservative? Likely, but I can't really tell, for sure.

If she does, she'll likely do so in a group, like The View, where she's among other voices. NBC doesn't have a show like that, and this might be a way to enter the female talk area.

But the NBC suits keep talking about "quality journalism and reporting." Those things aren't in high demand at 9AM, even on the cable channels. She better learn how to do softer interviews with celebrities, chefs, and designers.

Also Shepard Smith he's another person at Fox News that's considered as the sane person of the network along with Chris Wallace. But back to Megyn Kelly yes she was once criticizing for being Tomi Lahren 1.0 during her time at Fox News Channel. I Remember that I seen some Jon Stewart rants years ago that put Megyn Kelly and Glenn Beck being viewed as the 2010 version of Infowars and Tomi Lahren due to the sheer anti-Obama rants that came into play back then.

But this is 7 years later and Megyn Kelly is playing the sane card this time if you seen her interview with Alex Jones/Infowars staff members on NBC recently. It's just that Megyn Kelly is still trying to fit in with NBC.

All NBC stations are airing Megyn Kelly Today I don't know how well it will do if it's like her Sunday show and the ratings aren't good then NBC has a problem just my opinion.

I think your opinion is spot on. If it doesn't pan out, NBC can certainly weather any fallout and afford to pay her contract off.

They may have paid top dollar for a fad that was more or less over by the time it put her on the air. Perhaps she'll disprove this, but competition in that slot will be tough. I'm not sure what will define success. Is it marginally beating the ratings the show had when Tamron Hall hosted it? Doubtful, but if she underperforms even that modest goal, the show will clearly be a failure. I expect Kelly & Ryan to step up their already good game in that slot and Megyn strikes me as not being particularly well suited to the mix of light hearted stories, pop culture coverage with a bit of news mixed in that would be needed to succeed in that slot.

I guess we'll soon find out.

Actually, Shep Smith is rather clearly NOT a conservative, perhaps even liberal. Fox does have a few non-troglodytes.
