NBC In Talks With O'Donnell - Rosie O'Donnell - For New Daytime Show

NBC Universal(or whatever it may become)should re-think doing a daytime talk show, i'm sure they are doing this
because of Oprah's departure next year, if they wanted to put on a show, wait till the week after she ends, which
is probably in the works.

Will Rosie get "Tickle Me Elmo" out of the box again? :D :D :D :D

I'm not surprised NBC wants her since her 1996-2002 show was based out of NBC's 30 Rock studios.

Actually, it appears that this is only the second time in the past few years that NBC has been in contact with Rosie on hosting a new television show. I found an article from November 2007, reporting that MSNBC was "in talks with Rosie O'Donnell about her hosting a primetime show for the network" for their 9 PM timeslot:
http://www.multichannel.com/article/87828-Report_MSNBC_Talking_to_Rosie_O_Donnell.php

At the time, the host of the 9 PM hour was Dan Abrams; today, it is Rachel Maddow.

All in all, the reason why the thread was titled as such was a callback to an earlier thread where I had posted that Lawrence O'Donnell would be hosting a new 10 PM program on MSNBC.
