NBC News Daily and 12 News at 1pm

According to tv listings, KPNS is going to run NBC News Daily at noon, starting September 12th. This is the show that replaces Days of our Lives. 12 Nwas at Noon becomes 12 News at 1pm and Arizona Midday moves to 1:30pm. Interesting how 12 News is moving newscasts around!

Why not? The only block between 4:30 AM and 11 PM currently without news on at least one channel is 1-3 PM, and Channel 12 is filling 1/4 of that.

10-11am is without local news either as KUTP airs the national streaming news service LiveNOW from FOX from 10am-12pm there.

I thought there was a substantial local component to it, but I haven't checked in on it in 12-18 months. Before Cory moved to evening weather, he was on there practically every time I checked in.
 
NBC News Daily seems "newsy" and relevant to the top stories of the day. There are a fair number of interviews and pundits, but not politically biased like the cable nets. It's kind of a midday version of the first hour of the Today Show.

12 News at 1pm is basically a re-packaged version of 12 News at Noon shifted by one hour. However, it does seem that 12 News has had a live report each day and weather has been live by either Lauren Rainson or Jamie Kagol (I thought they might go with a recorded forecast from Krystle Henderson).

Nothing groundbreaking, but it is news content for the early afternoon.

i would be shock if it becomes 11am Today Before Noon but Hearst does clear Today at 10am
