NBC O&O Bounces Days of Our Lives to 2:05AM for one day Only

NBC 30 (WVIT) the NBC O&O station in Hartford is bouncing Days of Our Lives to 2:05AM for today only while they broadcast a Political Debate Live. I don't get why they're doing this when they could've aired "Days" at 3PM instead of People's Court. Further more the debate is gonna be simulcast online and then rebroadcast at 7PM on NBC 30.

Why are we having a political debate on a weekday afternoon? Prime time would make more sense.
