NBC Sports Radio Network Coming in Sept.

It's only a travesty when your team is in the Stanley Cup Finals and some games are forced cable. Granted, not everyone can get NBCSN (err Versus, er OLN) even though the channel has been around in some inception for many years, blame your cable carrier for that. Games 2 & 3 of the SCF on cable is nothing new. ABC/ESPN did it when they had the NHL. FOX would have if their FOX Sports Net regionals had a bigger footprint.

If NHL television ratings were a skyrocketing success then this wouldn't happen. Unfortunately, hockey is a fourth tier sport in the United States and this likely won't change. It is what it is.
