NBC Sports wins eight Sports Emmys

NBC won eight awards, including ones for regular season Sunday Night Football coverage and separately for the NFL playoffs; other winners include TNT's Inside The NBA, MLB Network's MLB Tonight, HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, and both of ESPN's investigative programs (Outside The Lines and E:60).

One of the Sports Emmys NBC racked up was on behalf of "SNF's" Michele Tafoya, who picked up an award for "Sports Reporter - Sports Personality" - the first time an award under this category was doled out in the Sports Emmys.
