NBC's Ted Koppel does an investigative look at Talk Radio and Cable Talk

Re: NBC's Ted Koppel does an investigative look at Talk Radio and Cable Talk

Ted Koppel does a deft job of criticizing everyone except the people who are apparently paying out his salary....and no real mention of the miasmic fecal matter that is being blown into the ether by MSNBC.

You could have used an accurate description other than a disgusting metaphor.

The metaphor is on target...and these reports highlight how far Ted has fallen. He truly has sold his professional soul.

Ted Koppel Forgot to Disclose this part. Michael Savage was on MSNBC for 4 months in 2003. During these 4 months Savage-Weiner did not have a Talk Station in San Francisco during the PM Drive. This was when Savage was out of KSFO and was still in Talks With Clear Channel KNEW 910 at this time.

It's probably just me but it feels odd knowing that Ted Koppel is working with NBC now. I know news anchor personalities jump to other networks or local stations all the time. But when I think of Ted Koppel, I associate him with Nightline and ABC News. Not NBC or the BBC for that matter.

Yeah, I know. I need to get with the times as they said it. :p

Well Ted Koppel of NBC is now looking on how Cable Talk and Talk Radio has Influenced America for the Past 10 years. .

In reality talk radio had most of its influence from around 1990 up through the end of the Clinton Administration.
His framing is off.

This is the first I've heard of it.

I just assumed since Jimmy Kimmel gets delayed by "Nightline" that he was still there.

Koppel retired from Nightline in 2005. Since then, he's been a contributor to the Discovery Channel and NPR.

When did he end up on NBC?

Well Ted did use clips from MSNBC but was forced to not go after them due to management reasons.
But he did use Bill Maher to represent the left. However there has been media critics like Jon Stewart and the Daily Show Crew for years have documented Cable Talk as trashier than Jerry Springer for 10 years on all cable Propaganda channels from CNN, Fox News, Fox Business, HLN(more TMZ Leaning), MSNBC, and CNBC for years. Jon Stewart is credited for dismantling 2 Cable Shows, Fox News Glenn Beck and CNN's Crossfire.
