Neighbor-island radio stations that can be received on some parts of Oahu

There are neighbor-island radio stations that can be received on some parts of Oahu. I live in Waipahu, which is on the Leeward side of Oahu. Here are the neighbor-island radio stations that I can receive along with signal strength on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being almost inaudible and 10 being very strong:

KMVI AM 550 Maui, 2
KQNG AM 570 Kauai, 6
KIPA AM 620 Big Island, 4
KUAI AM 720 Kauai, 6
KKON AM 790 Big Island, 5
KNUI AM 900 Maui, 3
KAOI AM 1110 Maui,1

KAOI FM 95.1 Maui, 4
KSRF FM 95.9 Kauai, 2
KFMN FM 96.9 Kauai, 7
KITH FM 98.9 Kauai, 3
KJKS FM 99.9 Maui, 4
KLHI FM 101.1 Maui, 4<P ID="signature">______________

Great observations! Here is some background to help on various stations:

KMVI appears to have little if any ground system, but is being looked into;

Interesting that KQNG and KUAI have similar signals, as AM 570 is 1 kw, and AM 720 is 5KW with a better location towards Oahu. Once again, KUAI has no ground system, which hurts the groundwave.

KSRF and KITH are both 51 kw from the same combined antenna system, so the difference is a puzzler. KFMN is 100 KW a few miles north of the Haupu tower so it's superior signal is no surprise.

KAOI-FM is about 1000 feet lower on Ulupalakua (but further south with a slightly better look-angle at Oahu) than KJKS and KLHI (who are using a combined antenna), but KAOI-FM is lower in power too (about 55 KW at the moment). So that area of Maui looks like a good launching point, no matter what.

Great information! Thanks. I will be on Oahu in April and plan to be in the Waipahu area, so I hope to hear some of these Maui or even Kauai stations. Thanks again!
