Maybe he was just sick of being there and wanted to try something newAll the best Neil Cavuto in the next chapter I think he left on his own terms and also for his health as well. Since it seemed that Neil was out a lot with battling his health problems.
Do we know if he left on his own or his contract wasn’t renewed. Maybe his health was the only factor but I wonder if he saw the winds changing and decided to get out.Maybe he was just sick of being there and wanted to try something new

Cavuto was offered a new contract, which he declined to accept his new deal. Fox wanted him to stay on board, but a source explained that he ultimately decided to leave.
So stay with a pay cut.According to the article linked in the OP:

Some of this is that if one wants to watch Fox that is really "Fair and Balanced" or follow the old slogan "We Report, You Decide" in practice, then one has to go to the Fox O&O's local site and the Live Now on Fox via their TV Apps (the current national news division made by Fox Television Stations). See Live Now on Fox and the local Fox O&O's has done stories that are not exactly friendly to the viewers of Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham as seen here. Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network are mainly doing content for the Fox Nation app.Why did Fox News get away from “we report, you decide” mentality? He was great on FNC
LiveNOW from FOX is a national news service powered by FOX Television Stations.
It is focused on showing the most relevant and engaging live news coverage occurring right now across the country, and the world.
Often called the "Red Zone" of news, the programming seamlessly moves between the biggest events and stories as they are happening.

That was my experience as well, until I got tired of the barrage of "everything's the DEM's fault!" coverage.I actually used to watch Fox News. I thought it was a fresh alternative and healthy for CNN to have the competition. I'd even watch O'Reilly. He'd talk with Jon Stewart or Marilyn Manson and have a lively debate. That was good television and thought provoking. That was also before I was aware of O'Reilly's scummy personal behavior. But there was a place for what Fox did. Shepherd Smith was an ethical man, who no longer fit in there because he wouldn't kiss the right bottoms. Now credible journalists like Smith, Wallace, and Baier get criticized by the audience for not falling in line or asking the wrong question of their idol.

Not really. With MSNBC, you see Republican commentators, a good handful ( I don't care if the Trumpsters insult them and claim they're not). You bet, and equally so with the new MS NOW's "everything's the Republicans' fault!" bulljunk-- tired of the smearing and slandering.
True too!Not really. With MSNBC, you see Republican commentators, a good handful ( I don't care if the Trumpsters insult them and claim they're not).
Nichole Wallace and the Michael Steele, the former RNC chair.
You don't see any Dem. commentators (or very few) on Fox.
And darn sure none of them host their own shows, like Nichole Wallace and Joe Scarborough on MSNBC.
I remember when Fox News anchors use to say, "That's the (Bush) administration's view. Let's get the other side" in introducing a major Dem., like Geraldine Ferraro
Today, that's a big no-no in Fox News' RNC and Trump promotion efforts.
If only Fox News Channel (Cable Channel) rename itself as “Fox Nation” after their own app and the division that contains their own talk shows with that content. But as in other studies cable viewership has been falling for some time and we seen promotions of the Fox Nation app from Fox News Channel for some time to reflect that.Fox News in 1996: "We report, you decide."
Fox News in 2025: "HAIL TRUMP!"
