Neil Frank, former KHOU Chief Meteorologist and National Hurricane Center director

Wow sorry to hear of his loss, he definitely lived a full life! I still have The USA Today Weather Book (1992) by Jack Williams on my shelf in which there is an interview with Neil Frank and how he earned the nickname “Mr. Hurricane” from his time as the Director of the National Hurricane Center.

Dr. Frank got millions through some of the biggest hurricanes of the late 20th and early 21st century. He will be missed in Houston and around the U.S. Big influence on a lot of meteorologists today, I'm sure.
RIP Dr. Frank
