Mike Lynch, who hosts the pre-game, halftime, and post-game show for Portland Trail Blazers broadcasts, announces he is leaving the team after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

“Hi everyone, I know it’s been a long time, but sadly I am returning with bad news,” Lynch wrote on X/Twitter. “A few months ago, I was diagnosed with ALS… Sadly, this means the end of my radio career. I am thankful for all those who listened over the last 12 years.”

Lynch left Audacy sports “1080 The Fan” KFXX Portland, OR in August 2022 to join the Trail Blazers broadcast team on iHeartMedia “Rip City Sports Radio 620” KPOJ. He had been with KFXX since 2011 serving as a producer and on-air host.
