New 790 The Ticket Management Can't Give The Morning Show To Anyone

The new 790 The Ticket Management can't give the morning show to anyone. So far the show has been offered to six people and all six people turned down the job. Since Jorge Sedano resigned a five months back this job search has turned into a frigin disaster. What are the new GM and PD doing that makes everyone offered this job not even consider it? Two of the six offered the job weren't even employed when they ran for the nearest exit.
 
Scott has a new gig out in San Diego..think he turned them down already...and Mitch is doing fine in Seattle.. think he was talked to, but about another position at 790.

Well, I know Dino Costa tweeted they offered him the job. It seems that Scott Kaplan and Mitch Levy were as well. So, that leaves 3. Someone told me they had Former NCAA/NFL QB and current ESPN NCAA Analyst Danny Kanell in one morning. So, he is one? According to the Miami Herald, Jon Stugotz Weiner claims to have no interest in leaving Le Batard Show. That could be 5.

I know Arnie Spanier is flying all over the country doing auditions. Maybe, he'll get a crack.
 
I hear they're trying to hire on the cheap. Not a surprise with these new guys.
 
There is a lot of inaccurate info flying around here about this. Fact is, they haven't offered the job to six people. In fact, they haven't offered it to anyone. Blame them, perhaps, for taking longer than usual. But they have anew PD in there, and it makes sense that he wants to get it right. The statiopn has been testing-driving people. But Dino Costa (whoever that is) was never offered the gig. Nor were Scott Kaplan or Mitch Levy.

Too much rumor. Not enough fact.

And the fact is, the search is still continuing, with no firm offers made so far.

They may not have "offered" the job to anyone. But, they have gauged interest in the job from the above hosts. Those hosts have all put it out there in one way, shape or form, that they had no interest. That's a more accurate way of portraying the situation.

Now, as far as taking their time? They should. It's an important slot and this is the perfect time of year to figure it out. Though, the clock is ticking to the fall and they'll need to have something in place sooner rather than later.
 
Last thing I heard is 790 is going with former producer Hockman and night host Jonathan Zaslow. If this is the best they can come up with they should go to a national show like Mike and Mike or whoever Fox has on. Talk about being underwhelmed.

Sorry abut spelling your name wrong but the show with you and Jonathan Zaslow has zero chance of lsucceeding. Unless the Heat are in the NBA playoffs the show will do low 1's.

I know. Who would have thought that talentless, fake name Weiner with his post-nasal drip, would be paired on the highly rated afternoon show. So there's hope for anyone.
 
The morning show was doing low 2's mid April - mid June with the lead in from the Miami Heat the night before and one of the best runs ever in Miami's history of radio and TV and all the show got were low 2's, Plllleeeeaaassee! The show was awful!!! I listened for as much as I could and that was 5-10 minutes tops. No top agent representing radio talent would waste their time with scrubs. Except for Dan Lebatard Miami is devoid of sports talk radio talent at this time.
 
One word comes to mind, wow. The GM of the Ticket taking shots at former employees and the management at the competition. Wow
 
Orlando Alzugary had Pat Riley on today for virtually no listeners on 640 AM. As always, it was a solid interview. Nothing else to say here.
 
Hochman & Zaslow did a 5.1 in March, compared to Joe Rose's 1.6. It's no competition.

Who would have thought those talentless one's would pull that off? Do have to admit, they are better than what else is on at that time. Joe Rose is stale and Rosenberg sucks.

Did Dan Sileo give you those numbers? He's into inflating his numbers. Trust me, I sold at CC while he was there. In M 25-54 Joe Rose received a 2.2 share QAM. The Ticket received a 1.8 on both it's AM & FM. So, if you're into combining numbers, that's still only a 3.6. Considering, it's your first and only post, let us know if you're Hochman, Zaslow or one of their producers?
