NEW AFRICAN AMERICAN SUB DEBUTS: SOUL OF THE SOUTH (MAY) KIN-TV (JUNE)

SOUL OF THE SOUTH...... promises 5 hours of news per day along with other produced programs.
Sounds a bit like LIVE WELL + NEWS + A BIT OF ENTERTAINMENT. I'm not really expecting much
from this sub.....but if they are to meet their deadline.....seems like some affiliates would be announced soon. Unless, they plan to start with just 5 or 6 (which can be done---Me-TV, Antenna TV, PBJ come to mind).

KIN-TV I think will be better and with more entertainment shows. Isn't it a branch of the Me-TV
family (Weigel)? They seem to be one of the few who know how to do a sub channel right.

KIN TV plans to use MGM for the marketing of the network, like Weigel Broadcasting does with This TV & MeTV. The new network however is not a part of Weigel Broadcasting. Since Weigel affiliated with Bounce, it wouldn't surprise me if they affiliate with KIN TV as well. I however see it on WWME-LD 23.3 instead of a subchannel to WCIU (WWME-LD 23.3 is currently a simulcast of 23.1, while WWME-LD 23.2 is Bounce).
