WJR and WABC do not run IBOC, so I don't know what you were hearing throwing digital noise on 750.

Much more likely CJBC Toronto, especially if it was // CBEF 540.
 
Thanks for the video, dxingtraveller! I really enjoy hearing what the AM band sounds like in different parts of the country where I've never been.

I'm thinking that what you heard on 530 could be the one from Cuba, Radio Enciclopedia.

If you're able to listen long enough and hear elevator music with a woman's voice inbetween songs, that's it. I can hear that station with a fairly good signal even all day here in Tampa.

It was good to hear KYW so strong too. It's a rare catch anymore down here. Sounds like they no longer have their old teletype sound in the background that they always used to have that made them unique.

I look forward to another band scan from the upper AM band too.

The way to identify this is all the announcers are female. And most of the music is instrumental. "Elevator music" at night. A little more uptempo during the day.

That definitely was WTVN you were hearing. They run Sean Hannity from 7-10 p.m. and of course you are within their nighttime northern lobe. 25 miles farther east, you might not be (I've heard no trace of WTVN at night as far west as Painesville). And you're right about where their ring of cancellation starts, so everything falls into place.
WGN doesn't run IBOC anymore either, incidentally, so unsure what hash that would have been.
 
530 is probably CIAO. Despite their low power levels 1000 watts day, 250 watts night, their signal gets out far since 530 is so empty. I get them day and night here. During the summer they are weak during the day, but during the winter its surprising how well a 1kw signal around 200 miles away comes in via groundwave. Of course its a mostly water path.
 
Neat to hear another bandscan that's from only about 20 miles east of where I live.

610 may have also been WIP/Philadelphia mixing in. I have heard them here in Vermilion mixing with WTVN at night.
870 was likely a weak WWL/New Orleans with IBOC hash from WCBS 880
1030 should be WBZ/Boston in the mix. Here in Vermilion it dominates 1030 at night.
1040 was WHO/Des Moines
