New Calls for 106.3 FM In Maplesville and Other Related News

Many educational institutions are bailing on radio. With the cuts to budgets, it's hard to justify the funding for a station and its recurring bills, plus the oversight required to keep the operation on track.
 
Has WLGD officially signed on yet?

If not, when will it happen?

P.S. Looking forward to hearing some Classic Country and/or Southern Gospel tunes, when I travel through Maplesville, at the end of this month.
 
Plan on traveling through that community, this Tuesday. 

Hope to hear some Real Classic Country, Oldies and/or Southern Gospel, as I'm driving. 

Will let you know what I hear, sometime Tuesday night.

They may be off for a few more weeks. There engineer had a heart attack last week and had bypass surgery a few days ago. He will be out of service for several weeks. Give him time this is something he cant rush and I know he would rather be working than going through what he is going through. Please, lets all put him in our prayers.! HE post on here sometimes using the screen name REW , his initials
 
Hope Mr. REW will soon get well too.

MR. R D P I am doing much better and thank everyone for there prayers and thoughts. I am told by the doctors that it may be another 3-4 weeks before I can go back to work and that is if I behave my self and do what the doctors say.
The plans are to put Maplesville on the air when I can. As far as programming, I really don,t have a clue. Not my department.

Out of curiosity, where will the studio for WLGD be located?

Will it be in Maplesville or at the WHPH/WKLF building in Clanton?

Studio: I cant say right now. we were discussing the locations when I got taken out of it, So I really dont know what to tell you.
