R.B. Communications received approval today for a commercial Country station in Welland, Ontario. The new station will operate on 89.1 with 564 watts (3,100 watts maximum ERP). The antenna height will be 130.5 metres (EHAAT) and the radiation pattern will be directional.

The new station will become a sister to R.B. Communications existing Classic Rocker in Welland CIXL 91.7 (GIANT FM).

Another country station? 92.9 in Caledonia, 94.7 in Hamilton, 106.5 in Buffalo. All available in Niagara. I didn't know country music was so popular in Southern Ontario!
