A new song, Rockin' Away, written by Brad Delp and Barry Goudreau, with incredible as usual vocals by the late Brad Delp, has made the airwaves at Boston's Classic Rock station WZLX. I first heard it on Chuck Nolan's show this afternoon. A HUGE thanks going out to him. So, Brad Delp fans call WZLX and ask them to play Rockin' Away by Delp and Goudreau. Let's make this a HUGE hit and honor the well deserving Brad Delp.

'ZLX.....HA!
I give it 2 days in play then back to Joe Cocker for the 1,000,000,234rd time!

Don't disrespect one of the finest musicians and nicest guys from the Boston area who suffered throughout his life and a thread about his music to throw out one-liners about a station you don't like.

I think he was commenting about the lameness of WZLX's playlist and not disrespecting Delp.

Al you are right. I was disrespecting WZLX not Delp.
WZLX disrespects Delp, Goodreau and many other great musicians by ignoring most of thier catalogues and playing same 1 or 2 songs over and over. It even ignores songs that actuallyu had been on charts to dumb us down to lowest common denominator.

I was lucky enough to see Delp and Goudreau a few years ago in New Hampshire. I was a big fan of their song "What You Leave Behind" from their "Delp and Goudreau" CD. What I remember most about the gig was how annoyed many people were that they weren't playing their most recognizable songs. By the end of the show, they reluctantly did a couple of songs from their classic Boston era including "Long Time." You could see on Delp's face that he was serious about their new stuff and wasn't there to re-hash something everyone's heard a million times.

It's not the way we all want it to be, but it is what it is. Most people want to hear the hits.

Jane,

I beg to differ with you, but "Rockin' Away" is not available on any of the sites you mention. In fact, according to Barry's interview on a New Hampshire station yesterday mornng, the ONLY place the song will be available is Itunes via a 99 cent download. It is not available there yet, but keep checking.
