New Format Coming to 94.3 WKXP , Kingston Wednesday at 12 Noon.

I checked 94.3 this afternoon. They announced that something new is coming to 94.3 tomorrow ( Wednesday) at 12 Noon.Today they are stunting with the format wheel with something different every hour.
The first hour was only the biggest hits on B(or) P94 although in English it sounded to me more Caribbean than top 40 CHR.
Next was oldies under the moniker Good Time Radio WEOK. WEOK is continuing their Mexican music. Since we are already saturated with oldies this won't happen.
Personally I agree a sports station would be a good idea.
In any event we will find out Wednesday 2/26 at 12 noon.

I was listening earlier and heard one of the old All-Hit B94 bumpers from the old B94 WBMP days, which was very cool I thought! I'm curious if they stick with that format and bring back the name, how the current 92.9 WBPM would feel using the name to their call letters.

What you heard was just part of the format wheel that they stunted with yesterday . They also had oldies, and Radio Reggi.

The new format on 94.3 WKXP is 94.3 Lite FM . They will play a variety of lite, relaxing music, to listen to at work or just to relax. Rick Knight launched it claiming they are the area's only lite music station. Has our original lite station Q92.1 WRNQ evolved that much? He said the station will be local.
We will see.

A quick update their playlist seems much wider in time scoop than Q92's 80's till now. They are mixing in music going well back into the 70's
