New Internet Radio Station- Soundtrack of Miami

Funk E. Frank Walsh, Dimas Martinez, Stuart Elliott, and Leo Vela are among those involved in a new internet station debuting Thursday, January 19th at 10:00am. Website is www.soundtrackofmiami.com. They are promising a return to the glory days of Miami FM radio with Stuart and Leo focusing on the hits they played on 96X and Super Q respectively, while Dimas and "Ballistic" Billy Miller play the sounds of early 90s Power 96 and perhaps go a bit further back and throw in a little Rhythm 98 as well. Looking forward to hearing what this will sound like, sounds extremely promising to those of us who remember when Miami was a unique radio market!

Considering the players involved, especially Walsh as one of the programming forces, it should be excellent listening.

Sound quality is bad, sounds like they put a speaker in a bathroom with a microphone before it...
Has anyone the direct listen stream URL for playing it in Winamp?

Sound quality has been excellent for me all morning, and the selection has been pretty solid! Although there have been some songs that are also currently heard on Clasica's Saturday night shows from the Club at Renaissance and on other scattered occasions throughout the week, like "Grooveline", "Dance With Me", and "Good Times", there's also been a very nice array of selections that haven't been heard in South Florida for a while ("Oh Honey" by Delegation and "Float On" by the Floaters to name a couple). And Leo Vela sounds terrific!

station sounds great its a total blast to listen to i havent heard some of these freestyle songs in over 10 years.

I'm impressed, sounds pretty good to me. I wonder what they plan to do on marketing it

At the moment it sounds better than 10 AM this morning. But before 4 pm the processing was to heavy and the volume going up and down everytime.

great to hear the classic miami sound again along with boogie down dimas martinez, looking forward to see what comes out of this new movement

Someone find out what the direct streaming URL is for winamp or media player? Only that annoying pop-up player available.

I think this new project is already over. Stream still down, and when it's on, there is still a heartbeat sound. Strange...

This is for Stuart Elliott, Stuart I saw on a previous post you are friends with Kid Curry aka Kim Curry. I was friends with Kim when he lived in Miami I lost contact with him when he moved to Colorado, can you please forward my information to him. I would love to touch base with him to see how he is doing, if you have any questions for me please feel free to contact me.

Thank You
