I listened to 96.7 FM on the way to work... It was strong as I headed out of Anthem (Henderson) into Las Vegas. Certain areas, the signal is non-existent. But, you head West toward Summerlin and the signal booms in loud and clear. It makes sense because the signal is coming in from North of the Las Vegas Valley.
On 97.9, the carrier remains. The signal is again stronger in the south valley and on the northside. I don't know if it is overlapping the existing signal on 97.9 from Lake Havasu or not. There is dropout in certain areas where there is something underneath, that is not fully discernable.
It is like the Q at 106.9. Over the last month, the religious station that also broadcasts at 106.9 overwhelms the Q in the Henderson area. Who knows if their engineers at the Q are even aware of this problem. Q just goes away on the 215 and other areas of Henderson and the religious station dominates the frequency. So much for building an audience.
