New Las Vegas 96.7 Playing Christmas Music & 97.9 Dead Air

Picked up in Henderson, NV 12/19/10 -- Christmas Music on 96.7 FM and a carrier only, with no sound, at 97.9 FM. I'm wondering if these are NEW low power FM's for 2011 or just homeowners with Christmas lights & localized transmitters that transmit for just a few blocks around their home in the area? Has anyone else in the L.V. Valley picked up something on these frequencies?

Can't pickup either one on two different receivers in my office at Durango and Flamingo. I'll try the car radio on the way home.

BIll,

I listened to 96.7 FM on the way to work... It was strong as I headed out of Anthem (Henderson) into Las Vegas. Certain areas, the signal is non-existent. But, you head West toward Summerlin and the signal booms in loud and clear. It makes sense because the signal is coming in from North of the Las Vegas Valley.

On 97.9, the carrier remains. The signal is again stronger in the south valley and on the northside. I don't know if it is overlapping the existing signal on 97.9 from Lake Havasu or not. There is dropout in certain areas where there is something underneath, that is not fully discernable.

It is like the Q at 106.9. Over the last month, the religious station that also broadcasts at 106.9 overwhelms the Q in the Henderson area. Who knows if their engineers at the Q are even aware of this problem. Q just goes away on the 215 and other areas of Henderson and the religious station dominates the frequency. So much for building an audience.

So, does anybody know who is operating 94.5, 96.7, and (possibly) 93.5 out in Mesquite? I know the licenses are owned by different companies, but is one company LMA'ing them or are they all being run separately? Seems it would be more profitable to group them together. Just wondering...
