New live show on WNYM – John Catsimitidis – Sundays 9-10 am

This might be a good local NY show. Today’s guests are Rudy Guiliani, Andrew Cuomo and George Pataki.

My guess is that billionaire Catsimitides is offering his services pro bono. He’s not a professional talk show host and may take some time to get up to speed, but kudos to WNYM for airing something of value on weekends instead of yet another infomercial!

How do you know it's not an Infomercial? One hour on a Sunday morning smells of bought time to me. Over the years WABC and WOR have aired many shows that may have sounded like a talk show but were really paid programing. I recall doctor shows, financial investment shows, even a show about baby boomers' life style all were paid programing. He does have money to burn.

Yeah, it's more likely that he's paying for the time than getting it in exchange for his services ... but you never know.

His motive? Could be deep down he wants to be an entertainer and he certainly can afford it. Or it could be publicity for the Republican party, but doing that on WNYM would be preaching to the choir.

Between running for office Steve Lonegan was all over the airways as a spokesman for a NJ Tax Fareness group. A sure way for out of office politicians to keep their name in the public's minds. Perhaps the same kind of publicity here?
