New Low-Power FM Station Coming to Downtown Las Vegas

According the the FCC FM query site, there are no LPFM, FM Translator, Full power FM or any other form of FM construction permit or FM applications on file for the entire state of NV that would conceivably have coverage in Las Vegas with the exception of a few modifications for existing Large LV broadcasters. There are only 3 licensed LPFM stations in the state and they are all religious broadcasters far from LV. This does not mean that an application may not be being prepared but the process takes considrable time and applications are only accepted during specific FM auctions and LPFM application windows. There are none scheduled soon that would affect LV. I hope they are not planning to go pirate. A legal part 15 station would not cover the length of Fremont street's covered area.

Holy LPTV Batman ... KGHD-LP Channel 6 moved from Overton to Las Vegas! (how did I miss this one!). Someone please check with an analog TV receiver and see if they have a picture up with audio, love to know. Its a Channel 6 radio station...likely running as much audio power as possible with the Video power turned down as low as possible. Seems futile...they'll only have a year or two for analog operation before being forced to digital. This is likely a commercial station...non-com is 88 to 92...theyre 87.7 (maybe 87.75 actually).
