New Madonna/Justine Timberlake/Timberland Song played 1st in NY on

the hottest new radio station PULSE 87.7FM

Seriously this station is hot. Whether you like the format or not there was incredible excitment when this song hit this morning...lot's of callers, etc...! It is well programmed and probably the best dance station I've heard. They're still working out some kinks but they are what....1 month old?
Innovative and edgy! Really I think Pulse is awesome! I may be biast because I like the music but you can't negate how ahead of the game and innovative they are!

The station sounds great but I really think the bad signal is going to be a problem...Once again it will be said a dance format doesn't work when in reality all it needs is a better spot on the dial.

I can only hope for a Citadel "fire sale!" :D Pulse 95.5! Heck, Hot 103 did their change in 1988 for a stronger signal to 97.1. History CAN repeat itself!

Pulse 95.5 would be ideal but I don't find the signal on 87.7 bad at all. I stated in another post that I had no issue pulling it in on the LIE all the way to exit 64 without issue and all over the 5 boroughs clearly.
I don't know about Jersey but from Manhattan east there is very little issue.

I was in Jersey 2 weeks ago. My radio tunes to 87.75...Woodbridge and south the signal is unlistenable. Pulse 95 would definitely work much better for the NJ listeners

is this new Madonna single already a stiff? When I play it on Saturday nights at THE BUNKHOUSE,people freeze into the 'deer in the headlights' stance;then, back to hip hop and all is well...

Who played it first is irrelevant....more so if nobody heard it! No average listener cares who played it first..they probably heard it first on MYSPACE anyway...but for the record, Z100 played it at 7am..when did Pulse play it?

it's dreadful, a futile effort to connect with the r&b hip hop audience that adores Mariah but has no use for the artifical Madonna; Timberland should have wrote her a Nelly Furtado type :Maneater" track, not this Broadway-sounding non event that does not sound at home on CHR

For the record (according to Mediabase), Pulse was the first to play the song in NYC by 12 days. Although they were not the first station in the country to play it. Six stations played it two days before they did. Those stations were:

WKST - Pittsburgh
WKSC - Chicago
B96 - Chicago
KNGY - San Francisco
KLUC - Las Vegas
KBKS - Seattle

Z100 & WKTU played it 12 days after Pulse did.

Again, who really cares? I just posted this for those that enjoy facts. ;)

Actually I had no problems pulling it in while sitting in traffic at Woodbury Commons (Exit 16 NYS Thruway) and know someone who was driving around with it further up in Newburgh which really surprised me. Go figure.

the Madonna "fans" are clogging request lines to radio stations that they don't even listen to for their girl,I just was forwarded a copy of THIS
Latest News from US radio.
Category: Radios.

Allaccess. com and Mediabase, the leading radio monitor is already reporting that as of March 20 2008
Madonna’s "4 Minutes" is the fastest growing song at CHR/Top 40. The track has received +1275 spins
and is playing on 108 stations!! Madonna no doubt will make a spectactular debut on the CHr/Top 40 Airplay chart that all radio programmers get every Monday! Great news but it’s only the first week so don’t stop requesting because stations are notorious for letting a song die if they think their audience isn’t responding. Special thanks to Savymicheal.

Madonna is back up to #7 on NYC’s Z100 Interactive 9@9. Keep voting here and you can also easily request her here, just click her name and click submit. She's up to 29 spins! Special thanks to Derek.

As for San Francisco, "4 Minutes" is being played once an hour on Energy 92.7 (House and Dance Music). The DJ claim that they are getting massive requests for it. Energy 92.7 is also hosting a "Big Gay Movie Night: A Tribute To Madonna" on April 17, and they say they are going to have a contest to win "Hard Candy" before it comes out. Click here to see the advertisment. WiLD 94.9 (Urban Top 40) is not playing Madonna yet. She is listed on the request page, so you can request her from here. East Bay (Fremont) Top 40 is not playing "4 Minutes" too much either. 89.3 KOHL. Requests it here. Special thanks to ATS.

''4 Minutes'' is not getting the right airplay in AZ on Energy 92.7/101.1(the dance station) and on 104.7 Kiss FM(mainstreem radio). You can request it going to 1047KissFM. com. Special thanks to David.

Madonna has been getting played in Chicago more and more on the 2 most popular stations B96 and 1035 Kiss FM. Request her by texting: 29696 for B96 and 51035 for Kiss FM. Special thanks to Jack.

I heard it twice on Thursday, first time on KC101.3 in Connecticut, and second on Pulse 87. It sounds like it has major hit potential, but will be forgotten once it's off the charts. The song will quickly rise to #1, stay there a week or two, and then drop, never to be heard again till CBS-FM plays it in 2038. I like the beat but it's not too catchy, and doesn't sound as good as the other Timbaland-produced songs. Think about "Me Against The Music" with Britney and Madonna.
