NEW MEMBER - A RETIRED ORIGINATOR OF SEVERAL HUNDRED CONSUMER & BUSINES ORIENTED TALK SHOWS.

Prior to my return to the USA in the late '70s I was heavily involved in the UK emergence of the phenomena known as offshore "Pirate Radio" which evolved from the huge success of Radio Caroline which broadcast from a ship located just outside of UK territorial waters.
Bringing contemporary "pop" Rock and R & B music to the ears of millions of Brits at a time when the Government controlled BBC only offered 2-3 hours per week of similar music programs. Radio Caroline's success quickly motivated completion from other ship-based pirates such as Radio London and ultimately forced the UK Government to License COMMERCIALLY funded on-shore radio stations.

On my return to Los Angeles, I rapidly discovered the virtues of talk radio as a credible marketing medium available to business enterprisers seeking to engage with and solicit interest from listeners by way of client-sponsored talk radio features. The result of my entrepreneurial initiatives to target business categories resulted in hundreds of daily and weekly aired sponsor-funded long-form talk shows which ultimately led to a four-year contract with the then existing Business Radio Network, (BRN) which required my relocation from LA to Colorado Springs.

BRN gave me a syndicated: "voice" for some of my proprietary1-hour weekly programs including "Scams Across America", "Inventors Workshop", "New Venture Money Show." "Home Office" and "Grand Opening".

With the demise of BRN and a "Rolodex" of contacts across numerous areas I launched myself into short and long term consulting engagements as varied as retail consumer financing, new home construction development, community affordable housing, CBD marketing and biomass energy development.

I am now retired but still retain an ever-present awareness and aptitude for entrepreneurial opportunities. While radio is in my "blood" it's progressive embrace of major corporate ownerships and their desire to maximize every "red cent" from available airtime inventory, while bottom line understandable, is no longer a comfortable fit.

Welcome! This is fascinating stuff.
